Pop up exhibition: Gang War Pusher Street

Pusher Street in Christiania was shut down in 2024. But now you can still explore Denmark’s most notorious street – in the miniature 3D model used during the filming of HBO Max’s documentary 'Gang War: Pusher Street'

The documentary series 'Gang War: Pusher Street' on HBO Max tells the unfiltered story of Denmark’s most dangerous street, which became an epicenter of drug-related crime – narrated by those who fought for it, against it, and in the midst of it all.

Christiania plays an important role in the recent history of the capital, and as part of conveying this story, the Museum of Copenhagen is hosting a pop-up exhibition where you can get up close to the 3D model of Pusher Street, which served as the setting for the series’ dramatic scenes.

At the museum installation, you can relive several pivotal episodes from Pusher Street’s long history, while the screen behind the model shows clips from the documentary as well as footage of the model in use during filming.

The detailed miniature model of Pusher Street is both the focal point and the main character of the series. Built to a 1:87 scale, the model was fitted with different figures during filming, depending on which scenes were being shot.
