Change Regarding Free Admission on Wednesdays

Starting from 1st of July, all visitors will have free admission on the last Wednesday of each month at Thorvaldsens Museum, Nikolaj Kunsthal and the Museum of Copenhagen.

The monthly free Wednesday replaces the previous arrangement of free admission every Wednesday, following a decision made by the City Council in Copenhagen.

In addition to the free last Wednesday of the month, there are several other opportunities to visit Thorvaldsens Museum, Nikolaj Kunsthal and the Museum of Copenhagen either for free or at a reduced price:

  • Children and young people under 18 always have free admission
  • Pensioners have free admission every Tuesday
  • Annual Pass gives access to Thorvaldsens Museum, Nikolaj Kunsthal and the Museum of Copenhagen all year round. Read more here
  • K7 Plus is a special annual pass aimed at young people between 18 and 27 years. K7 Plus provides free access to over 30 museums and exhibition venues in greater Copenhagen
  • Copenhagen Card gives free access to Thorvaldsen Museum, Nikolaj Kunsthal, the Museum of Copenhagen and a number of other attractions
